Tram Strikes Gelignite
CAR DAMAGED, BUT PASSENGERS UNHURT. United Press Association.—By Electric Telegraph.—Copyright. SYDNEY, Aug. 4. What the police think was an attempt to blow up a tram occurred at Manly. The vehicle made contact with three huge chunks of gelignite, and the whole district was disturbed by a deafening explosion. The passengers wero thrown into*a state of panic. The tram was badly damaged,, but no one was injured.
