NEXT TUESDAY’S CONTEST GREAT DEMAND FOE SEATS. Tho Sarron-Leckie fight, which is due to take place at tho Opera Houso next Tuesday night, is arousing widespread interest and the secretary of tho Manawatu Boxing Association announces that tho demand for seats is unprecedented im the history of the Association and that ho has received inquiries for ring-side seats from as far away as Whangarei in tho north and Runanga on tho West Coast of the South Island. Both, boxers are in great form and a battle royal is anticipated. Sarron has been putting tho finishing touches on his training at Havill’s gymnasium and many hundreds of enthusiasts have attended to sec him at work. Amateur Championships. The Manawatu Amateur Boxing championships open at Havill’s gymnasium on Monday night and tho finals will be the preliminaries to the big fight at the Opera House on- Tuesday night. Tho entries are very good and the tournament should be a great success.
