STRANGE CASE IN LONDON LONDON, July 16. “Would you euro to sec your husband? He is outside tho Court/’ said a prosecuting counsel when examining Mrs. Rosa Florence Perkins, who, in giving evidence in the Probate Court, had referred to the receipt; of a message from her husband at a seance. The ease concerned tho £IO,OOO estate of Dr Abraham Wallace, formerly a Harley street specialist, who died at; the age of Si). Mrs. Perkins was the executrix and residuary legatee. Dr. Wallace’s three children, who were petitioning for letters of administration on the grounds of intestacy, alleged that their father had for many years been obsessed by spiritualism. He suffered from delusions, including the belief that his late wife had appeared to him and directed him to go away with Mrs. Perkins, as she had been divinely appointed to take charge of him. Counsel said Mrs. Perkins had married in 3920, but lier husband bad left her after two years and she believed hint dead. Mrs. Perkins said that a coal merchant, Evan Powell, whom she had met at a luncheon to the late Sir Arthur Conan Doyle, acted as medium at the seances. She, presumed it was her husband who was speaking from the spirit world. The hearing was adjourned.
