TWO RIPPING PICTURES. Mary Duncan scored a tremendous personal triumph by her outstanding performance iu “Through Different. Eyes,” Fox murder trial mystery play. “Through Different Eyes” is by far the greatest achievement to dale and sets a mark that will press future productions to approach. Miss Duncan has a particularly difficult role as Viola .Manning, a part calling for a triple characterisation. As the wife of Harvey Manning, on trial for tho murder of his best friend, Jack Winfield, Miss Duncan first appears as the defence attorney visualises her; next, as seen by the district attorney, and finally as she really is. It is a role that gives Miss Duncan full scopo for her histrionic talents. Baxter, iu the role of Winfield, also has a “three-way” part, as has Lowe, as Harvey Manning. Both players, favourites for several years on stage and screen, acquit themselves very creditably in this Fox production.
As tlio hero in “Tiger Thompson/’ Harry Carey is perfectly justified in his strange behavious, for the fiance is endeavouring to steal valuable papers from the girl who intends to marry him. And far from being disgusted with mankind in' general as a. result of this, the heroine promptly falls iu love again with Harry and the villain, loses a wife and a gold mine with one blow. A matinee will bo held to-day at 2.30 p.m.
