THE COCKTAIL CHAMPION?

NEW AFTERNOON SPORT # Berlin has discovered a new Saturday afternoon sport. Thirty bright young persons are busily engaged in “shaking” violently against each other for yet another world championship. One of Berlin’s leading hotels is holding the “First International Cocktail Championship,” confined to enthusiastic amateurs. The entrants include many “stars” of the film and stage world. The results will .be tested on the spectators, among whom the cocktails will be distributed free of charge, and who will then elect the champion. As each conscientious judge must consume not less than thirty drinks before he can make known his award, it is to be feared that a certain element of luck will enter into the contest.
