MEETING OF COUNCIL The Pohangina County Council met yesterday at Pohangina, when there were present Mrs. S. T. Stralian (chairman), AY. McKay, T. C. Crainc, 1. Close and AV. Howell. Tho Lands and Survey .Department advised that Table Flat road was a legal public highway and it was deemed to be a county road by virtue of the Public Works Act. Such being the ease, thcro was no need for a Gazette notice to place it under the control of Works Department forwarded authority for payment of £O.l on account of damage to Digge™ Creek bridge and £750 on account of TU Tho°M°a a in Highways Board forwarded authority for maintenance subsidies as follows: Taonui-Raumai road £oo Ashhurst-Pohangma road, £2o_o,< l oha ngina Valley road, £200; Kimboltor Apiti road, £l7O. » i Tho treasurer’s report was as lows: Credit at Bank of New Zealand, cemeterv account £8 3/8, Cemetery dobalance, £2015 8/5.
