Bluff-Australla Steamer Subsidy Lapses
WRECKED MANUKA NOT REPLACED. Per Press Association. * AUCKLAND, June 10. The fact that the extended Government mail subsidy on the steamer service between Australia and Soutti Island ports has lapsed, was mentioned to-day by the Postmaster-General (Hon. J, B. Donald. Last year the Union Company entered into an arrangement with the Government to place an extra steamer on the run between Melbourne and Wellington and South Island ports.
