Palestine Workers Find Archaeological Riches
JERUSALEM, April 6. Palestine’s archaeological riches have again been shown, by the discovery of several sarcophagi of Herod’s time by labourers excavating for a building on Mount Scopus in the neighbourhood of the Hebrew University. : The workers also turned up pottery Which, it is bclieved, antedates the second destruction of the TOihple in the Vicinity of the cave in which the tdiub Was previously discovered. The sarcophagi bear Hebrew and Greek inscriptions. The Antiquities bepartment is entrusting further excavation to Hebrew University archaeologists.
