The Victorian Cricket Association farewell the Australian team for England. There were enthusiastic scenes. The manager, Mr. W. L. Kelly, remarked that the first Test in England was the thirteenth match of the tour. "Nobody in the team is superstitious, but as it looks as though somebody is going to have bad luck, it would seem to me Australia is going to have a great start.” The whole team, which is in excellent health, left for the overland journey by the trans-continental train.
