Feilding Ladies
MOTHER’S CHAIR ACTIVITIES,
Representatives of the Women’s Division of the Farmers ’ Union, the llunbdt Nurse Society, District Nurse Association, Girl Guides, the Women s Institute of Cheltenham and the W.C. T.U., were present at an enthusiastic meeting held in Feilding on Friday afternoon to further the appeal for the Obstetrical fund. ' Mrs. R« Taylor, president of the Feilding branch of the Women’s Division, presided and the guests included Mrs. Young, of Cunninghams, who is 81 years of age,
An enjoyable and entertaining programme was contributed to by Mrs. Elliot and her two daughters (instrumental) and Mrs, E. E. Short, Miss Dowar and Miss Vile (vocal). Such good business was done at th« cake, produce, recipe and fancy apron stalls that the sum of £lO 17s was realised for the Mothers’ Chair fund. On the motion of Mrs. C. E. Taylor, a hearty vote of thanks ,was. accorded to all who had contributed to the afternoon's success.
