TO-DAY’S RECIPE
SHORT PASTE FOR TARTS.
One pound of flour, 12 ounces of butter, two yolks of eggs, two tablespooniuls of sugar, two broakfastcupfuls of water, a teaspoonful of salt. Bub flour and butter together, add sugar. Make a well in the centre, put in tho yolks, salt, and a little, water; work the paste smooth, then roll out and use. Omit the eggs if you wish, and use, instead, lemon juice or cream of tartar.
