Dalgety and Company Limited, report having held their second Utuwai sale of the year in Mr. R. Batchelar’s yards on Tuesday, 11th instant, when there was a good yarding of sheep and a small entry of cattle. There was a good demand for all classes of sheep, breeding ewes especially meeting with a keen demand and prices showed a decided improvement on late sales. Quotations: —W.F. wether lambs, 12s, 12s 6d, 12s 9d, 14s; small w.f. wether lambs, Ss, Ss 7d, 10s 6d, 11s 3d; good woolly b.f. lambs, 16s Id; small woolly b.f. lambs, 13s lOd; shorn b.f. lambs, 13s 6d, 14s; 4-year ewes 245, 24s lOd; 4 and 5-year ewes 21s 7d, 22s 3d, 23s 2d, 23s 9d; low condition 4 and 5-year ewes 10s 63, 16s 83, 18s 2d; aged Romney rams 14s; 1-shear S.D. rams sgns., 6gns., 15-mos. empty heifers, £3 17s.
