The bit of Holland which is now for ever Czeeho-Slovakia deserves a plaice in the record of international agreements in 1929. Commenius, the Bohemian teacher-hero, died in 1670 at Ajmetewlam. Commemius was buried in the little Gothic church of Naarden ®nd over Ms bones the Czecho-Slovak-ian Government exchanged diplomatic notes with the Government of the Netherlands. The Dutch Government refused to part with Commenius. It did better: it gave the church at Naai? .
