Weddings
JACKSON—HOWE. At St. Mark’s Chureh, the Rev. H. Fry officiating, Edna, eldest daughter of Mr. and Mrs. G. A. Howe, Wellington, was married to Godfrey Graham, only son of Mrs. and the late Mr. Graham Jackson, of Palmerston North. The bride, who entered the church with her father, wore a frock of ivory rnarietto and lace and carried a bouquet of cream roses and gladioli. Her beautifully embroidered veil (which was the gift of her aunt) was held in place with. a coronet of orange blossom and formed a train which was carried by her little cousin Kenneth Trevor. The bridesmaids wore Misses Nita Howe and Agnes Jackson (sisters of the bride and bridegroom respectively). They were frocked alike in apricot crepe satin and marietta, their dainty caps being of frilled apricot tulle and diamante. They carried bouquets of apricot roses and gladioli with streamers of powder blue tulle. Mr. W. W. Styles, of Wellington, acted as best man, and Mr. I. Jensen, Palmerston North, as groomsman. Following tho ceremony a reception was held at tho Mokoia hall, where the guests were received by Mrs. Howe (mother of the bride), who wore a froek of beigo mariotto and lace with hat to tone and carried a bouquet of pink roses and sweet peas. She was assisted by Mrs. Jackson (mother of the bridegroom), wearing a pretty frock of floral satin and a satin coat and hat to match. Her bouquet was of mauve sweet peas. Later the bride and bridegroom lett for Auckland and Rotorua, the bride wearing a beaded frock of rose celanese and mariette, with coat and smart felt hat to tone.
