Wellington Swimming Championships
Per Pres 3 Association. WELLINGTON, Last Night. The Wellington Centre Swimming Championships were held at Lower Hutt to-night. Miss K. Miller won the 100 yards ladies’ championship in 73 3-5 seconds breaking her own centre record by 2 seconds. Miss M. House won the 50 yards junior girls in 35 1-5 seconds, a centre record. K. Spry retained the 220/yards centre breaststroke championship. Time 3 minutes 23 seconds. The 100 yards intermediate boys' championship was won by B. Gallete. Time, 66 seconds and the 100 yards intermediate girls -championship went t ; < P. Price in 87 1-5 seconds. In the 100 yards centre championship C. L. Claridge was first, J. Blakeley second and N. Dowsett third. Time, 6i 1-5 seconds. The 100 yards junior boys’ championship was annexed by R. Hederson in 79 3-5 seconds. In the 440 yards centre championship C. L. Claridge was first and D'. Pelham 2. Time, 5 minutes 54 3-5 seconds.
