ALL QUIET ON THE N.S.W. COALFIELDS
r■ ■ - Men Awaiting High Court Decision MAY PRODUCE IMMEDIATE RESUMPTION United Press Association. —By Electric Telegraph.—Copyright. Received Thursday, 9.25 p.m. SYDNEY, Feb. 13.
The coal situation is unchanged. Work is proceeding at several northern unassociatcd pits and. coal is being carted away in lorries without hindrance.
The Rothbury colliery is working full time and the police are having no trouble with the idlo miners.
The feeling is prevalent that the miners are now waiting for the decision of the High Court on the validity of the last Bceby award. If this goes against them they will return to work in a body. John Brown, owner of the Richmond Main pit in South Maitland, ono of the largest and best collcries, has decided to call for men next week, preferably former employees. If they decline, he will appeal for volunteer practical miners.
