.Witt a warm, dull day, there was a large attendance at the Wanganui Jockey Club’s meeting, and a great fashion parade on the lawn. The racing wag all. that was ejected, from the fields, the most notable feature being the riding of the veteran, H. Gray, who had seven mounts and rode four winners and one second. In tho Shade won the well endowed Cup Handicap from Gorinas: and the Flying Handicap honours were taken by Cimabue, with Arikinui second. The total investments for tho day were £25,920, compared with £25,812 for the opening day last year. *
