Westminster Glee Singers
RETURN CONCERT SATURDAY Music lovers will no doubt accord a very hearty welcome to the 'Westminster Glee Singers when they again make their appearance in Palmerston North at the Opera House on Saturday next at 8 p.m. For this farewell concert, Mr. Edward Branscombe has arranged a special programme of entirely new numbers in solos and concerted works and in bis opinion it will prove the most popular submitted by the. company. Concert goers ars looking forward to again hearing Mr. Alfred Cunninghame, one of England's greatest baritones who lias come out. from London to join the company. Mr. Cunningham was a member of the famous Scarlet Troubadours. There are also two new boy soprano soloists, Masters Harold Robinson and James Humphreys with exceptional voices. Fearn and Norman Clarke will be heard in delightful solo numbers and Messrs. Ernest McKinlay, Charles O'Connor, Donald Reid, James Barber and Albert Greene will submit gems from their repertoires. Piano, organ and harp accompaniments will enhance the beauty of a few of the concerted numbers and special attention is being paid to the general stage presentation. The Box Plan of reserved seats is at the Central Booking Office.
