Notes of the Day
The mortal 'remains of tie Rev. P. W.'Jones -were interred at the Feilding cemetery on Wednesday afternoon, following a short service at tie Met-ho-dist Church presided, over by. the Eev. F. Copeland, assisted by the Revs. R. B. McDonald (Presbyterian), J.-E. Parsons and H. White. A short address was given by the Hon. C. M. Luke, M.L.C., of -Wellington. Six Methodist ministers acted as pall-bearers.
■ At a meeting of St. John s vestry, arrangements mere made for the appointment of a curate to, the Feilding parish. It is understood, that the Rev. Kempthorne, of Te Kuiti, has been selected,
