The cows aro still coming in and the milk carts and cream lorries have an ever-increasing load to carry. The weather has been good up to the piesent, but tho barometer now shows signs of falling. The Wanganui Education Board s painters are at work on the school and residence, and the board’s carpentcis are also putting in a few necessary repairs and putting up a new tank at the school' in place of tho old on& which was so riddled by the severe hailstorm last June.
On Saturday evening the Methodist Maori Mission No. 2 Party gave a concert in the TaikoTea Church. A very pleasant evening was spent in enjoying songs, native dances and representations of Maori life and history. Ono of the men was especially gifted, cvett for one of that naturally musical and dramatic race. The party was officially welcomed by the Rev. C. H. Kcndon, and the audience were greeted in Maori by a young chief, one of the party. . Sister Nicholls gave a short address on the work of the mission and urged the need for more workers. A collection was taken and photos of the party, in native costume, were sold.
