10,000 METRES CROSS, COUNTRY CHAMPIONSHIP
M. J. MacKENZIE’S FOURiH YEAR. United Press Association—By Electrie Telegraph—Copyright. Received Sunday 7.0 p.m. SYDNEY, Aug IS For the fourth successive year, M. J. MacKenzic, won the New South Wales 10,000 metres cross-country title in 34 minutes, 34 seconds.
Wellington Harriers WELLINGTON, Last Night. The harriers’ provincial cross country B grade championships resulted: — A Meit (Brooklyn) 1, L. Rutherford (Masterton) 2, J. Cutbush (Hutt Valley) 3, J. Blair (Wellington) 4. Rutherford was disqualified for cutting the corner and therefore Cutbush ■and Biair were placed second and third respectively. The Brooklyn team won the B grade championship. A Grade individual results were:— Stevens (Scottish) 1, Silver (Scottish) 2, Barclay (Brooklyn) 3. The teams’ race was won by Wellington.
