WORLD’S CH AMPIOSHIP RACE. CECIL WALKER MAINTAINS SPEED OF 30 m.p.h. United Service. Received Sunday 7.0 p.m. NEW YORK, Aug. 17. Cecil Walker, of Australia, smashed tho world’s bicycle record for 50 miles by seven minutes one second, and won the 50mile championship race against 18 riders, in one hour 42 minutes, seven seconds, at the Velodrome saucer track.
