BOXING
PAHIATUA TOURNAMENT. One of the most interesting bouts at the Pahiatua amateur boxing tournament, to be held on Tuesday, should be the return fight between W. Drinkwater, of Palmerston North, and Ted Oxley, of Pahiatua. When the pair met in Palmerston North on Monday last in a three two-minute contest, Drinkwater put up a splendid display against his taller opponent and a big section of the audience was of the opinion that the verdict should have gone to him. On Tuesday evening, they will meet in a five two-minute encounter, and the lengthier contest should suit Drinkwater, who possesses the better stamina and is a born fighter. Many Pahiatua fans aTe expecting to see Dnnkwater acclaimed the winner.
