Bunny Austin (England) has entered the semi-finals of ttic Eastern tennis championships at Rye by defeating MacGuffin, of Philadelphia 6 —2, 6 —4. Other semi-finalists are Tilden and Hunter and Doeg. In the doubles, Austin and Cliff beat Hyde and Wilbur 4—6, 9 —7, B—G in the second round.
