Following the example of British banks in issuing betting chits to clients to use their totalisator winnings automatically in paying accounts, one of the largest French banks has arranged to sell at Longchamps books of ten deques of either 500, 1000 or 5000 fiancs each. The buyer is allotted a number to facilitate banking arrangements.
