MILLION DOLLAR CHEQUE DISCOVERED IN GUTTER

STARVING LAD’S LUCK,

A new York boy named Jimmy Duckett was down on his luck, down at heel, down-hearted, with the dejection that goes with an empty stomach after a “ down-and-outcr’s ” night of catnaps in doorways.
