SOUTHERN CROSS LANDS AT DERBY

'a later message states that Southern Cross leaves for Singaporo at about four o'clock to-morrow afternoon, weather permitting. MUST DODGE RANGOON RACES. The crew of Southern Cross sent a message to Sydney saying all were very tired after 22 hours xn tho air but they had had the best trip of their live-*. They will remain at Derby a couple of days to ascertain weather conditions, .before hopping off for Singapore. They must time their departure so as not to arrive at Rangoon racecourse on Saturday when a raco meeting is being held.
