BROKE SHOP WINDOW TO STEAL FOOTWEAR
SEEN BY SEVERAL PEOPLE.
Per Press Association. CHRISTCHURCH, Last Night. A man smashed a shop window and took some pairs of shoes from the Herbert Company’s store in _ Colombo street last evening. The incident was witnessed by several people, one of whom called the police. In tho court to-day, Thomas John Long, aged 39 years, a Labourer, was faced with four charges of theft and damage. Ho was remanded till Tuea* day.
