LONDON BURGLARS’ HOLIDAY
Easter this year will go down in London in tho police records as the I burglars’ holiday. Fewer thau a dozen j burglaries have been reported to Scotland Yard compared with 30 or 40 last -year. i An official remarked :—“There is no doubt that the public are taking greater precautions to see that houses arc secure when they go on holiday. Another factor which has kept the number of robberies down is the vigilance of the patrolling cars of the Flying Squad. All day and night they tour suburban districts and arc in constant touch with Scotland Yard by wireless. ”
