Weddings
MARSHALL —BRYCE, An interesting wedding was solemnised at St. Paul’s Presbyterian Church, Feilding, on Tuesday last, wheu Grace, the youngest daughter of Mr. and Mrs. J. J. Bryce, Kiwitea, was married to Wilfred, second son of Mrs. and the late Mr. William Marshall of Alaungaraupi, Marton. The church was beautifully decorated with autumn leaves and chrysanthemums. The bride looked very lovely in a soft lace gown of faint pink, the embroidered veil forming a train of the sariio tone. Five bridesmaids were in attendance; Miss Jessie Bryce, Miss Dorothy Duthic, Miss Bee Salmon, Miss Betty Bolton, and Miss Valeric Beckett. 'All wero dressed in long frilled frocks of tulle and satin do soie, in lovely shades making a rainbow effect. Tho three littlo maids wore julict caps, and tho two chief maids big velour hats of lupin blue and apricot to match their frocks. Messrs Jim Marshall (Marton) and Corran MacGregor wero best man and groomsman respectively. After the service the guests numbering nearly 200, motored to Oakland where tho bride and bridegroom received congratulations. Tho rooms wero ablaze with autumn leaves, and rich shades of berries and flowers., Mrs. Leo Campion sang beautifully and Miss Mackenzie (Rotorua) played charmingly, which added greatly to the enjoyment of tho guests. Mrs. Bryce, mother of the bride, wore a model frock of navy blue with oriental embroidery, beige hat; . Mrs. Marshall, mother of the bridegroom, navy blue morocain, black hat; Miss Edith Marshall, black coat and skirt, black hat; Mrs. H. H. Marshall, black lace frock, black hat; Mrs. T. Taylor, deep nattier crepe do chcnc and beige "corgotte, beige velour hat; Mrs. Linddf.y Bryce, beige coat and skirt, hat to match; Mrs. Jas. Campion, black lace frock, hat to match; Mrs. Duthie, brown morocain, brown and gold hat; Mrs. Swainson, brown gown with orient al trimming, brown hat; Mrs. Hammond, black chenille frock, black hat with osprey; Miss Ester Marshall, navy coat frock, small hat; Mrs. Dudding, floral crepe do chcnc, velour hat; Mrs. Currie, black cloth coat and skirt, smail hat; Mrs. Johnstone, ring velvet, small hat. Mrs. Beckett, peach clunclle, hat to tone; Mrs. D. H. Guthrie, black chenille beige and black hat; Mrs. Bolton beige frock and hat to match; Mrs. Porter, blue frock and squirrel coat, hat to tone; Mrs. Hassell, Mrs. Banks, Mrs A. Morton, Mrs. Fitzherbcrt, Mrs. Swainson (Bulls), Mrs. Swainson (Parhiatua), Mrs Mrs. Hocking, Mrs. F. Tho bride travelled in a deep saxo blue coat and slrirt with touches of crev, grey felt hat and coat to match. ° Air. and Mrs. Alarshall left for the south, but intend joining the iotua ay Auckland for a tour of the Islands.
