Graham, Palmerston North. Miss Janet Hare, is a Wellington visitor to Feilding and is staying with Mr and Mrs Henry Hare, Awahuri road. Miss Mary Duigan, of Wanganui, who is in Palmerston North for tho competitions, is the guest of Mrs R. W. Spring, College Street. Mrs. Bockett, of Raumai, who has been the guest of Mrs. McCulloch, Broadway Avenue, returned home yesterday. Miss E. Ashly has returned to Palmerston North after a short stay p Wanganui, where she was the guest of Mrs. J. B. Smith, Halswell street. - Mrs. A. J. Barry Brown, and her small daughter Pauline, of Auckland, are staying with Mrs. R. C. Reay, Argylc Avenue, Palmerston North. Mrs. S. V. Trask and her daughter, Miss Eileen Trask, of Broadway Avenue, Palmerston North, left yestorday for Morere Hot Springs, where the£ will spend a holiday. Mrs. Hord and Miss Zita Chapman, of Wellington, will accompany Mrs. Trask. The District Nurse is in urgent need of children’s and women’s clothing, and would be grateful if sympathisers with the movement would leave parcels at No. 1 Oxford street, Palmerston North, or if they would ring ’phone 6328 when parcels would be called for. Miss Carmichael, says a Sydney paper, has endeared herself very much to patients, trainees and members of tho committee, and great regret is felt at her severing her connection with the home, where she has occupied tho position of matron for flvo and a-half years. Miss Jean Muir has rcturnd from Wellington where she studied under Mr. Pat White (late of London), of Miss Bates' Studio. Those interested in dancing will be ablo to acquiro a thorough knowledge of London’s newest dance steps.
