LUCKY DISCOVERY
STRYCHNINE IN CREAM. United Press Association —By Electrit Telegraph —Copyright. SYDNEY, May 16. A can containing six gallons of cream delivered into tho Albion Park butter factory a few days ago was thoroughly impregnated with strychnine. A tester at. the factory tasted the cream and noticed it bitter. Later he fell writhing in a seizure. A doctor was called inland diagnosed tho case as strychnine iroisoning. It is alleged, that a bcttle containing the deadly poison was upset at a coastal dairy and some ran into the cream can. In ignorance ot this fact the can, filled with, cream, was sent to the factory. It can readily be imagined what might have happened had the mistake gone undiscovered by the tester.
