DRUNK IN CHARGE OF CAR

Per Press Association. DARGAVILLE, Last Night. At the Police Court to-day, before Mr J. H. Luxford, S.M., Ned Warmington ,an elderly contractor, was fined £2O and costs for being intoxicated while in charge of a motor car, wherely he collided with and did considerable damage to a bridge leading out of the down. With the added costs of repairs to the bridge, the defendant will have to pay as much as his car cost. On the strong representation of defendant’s counsel his license was not suspended as it would deprive him of his only means of getting to lbs work some miles out in the country.
