The Cheltenham Co-operative Dairy Company’s factory at Makino has put up a record output, the total tonnage for the season is expected to reach 2100 tons of butter. Last season the Makino factory manufactured 1534 tons of butter. This extra production of 266 tons of butter means a great deal to the district in general and to the company’s suppliers in particular. To date, the company has advanced over £260,000 for butterfat and which is greater by £50027 than the amount paid out for the corresponding period last season. The directors of the Cheltenham Cooperative Dairy Company have decided to advance Is 5d per lb. against April supplies of butterfat. This week the cream lorries commenced collecting cream every other day.
