SURPRISE PARTY
Miss Ruby Gillies took a surprise party to the home of Mr and Mrs. L. B. Wall, at Kairanga, last Friday evening. About 25 wct6 present and all spent a most enjoyable evening. Mrs. Wall received her guests in a becoming frock of black and gold georgette; Miss Elaine Wall wore bine velvet and Miss Olga Wall, black taffeta. Among those present were: —Miss Ruby Gillies, black taffeta; Miss Rodgers, green painted georgette; Miss Mona Rodgers, yellow georgette and tulle; Miss Peggy Nathan almond green georgette; Miss Patricia Keeling, white satin and net; Miss Margaret Bendall, pale green taffeta; Miss Flo Mclnnes, green georgette and lace; Miss May Akers, black georgette; Miss Joyce Akers, blue spoften net; Miss Struan McPherson, black goorgette; Miss Nell Innes, pink check taffeta; Messrs. Tom Spencer, Don'Ewing, Brian Connell, Frank Bendall, John Thompson, Charlie Thompson, Paul Rodgers, Billy Fitzherbert, Raymond Brian, Bill Boddy, Austin Edwards, Peter Barraud, Harold Hannay, Dudley Davis, Jim Perry, and Hardy Moore,
