ACCLIMATISATION MATTERS
P.N. BRANCH OF WELLINGTON SOCIETY ANNUAL MEETING. The following officers were elected at the annual meeting of the Palmerston North branch of the Wellington Acclimatisation Society which was held on Tuesday evening:—Chairman of committee, Mr. E. G. Matthews; secretary, Mr R. V. Lloyd; delegato to Wellington Society, Mr. R. V. Lloyd; committee, Messrs. E. G. Matthews, ;mr., 0. A. Weir, G. Jewett; G. Friend, M. Bowler and R. Proctor. The meeting adopted the annual report, as already published. It was decided to recommend to the Wellington Society that the Sambur deer season be opened on May 15. The chairman expressed his disappointment at the small attendance and pointed out that there were SUO members of the branch.
