From Our Own Correspondent. Tokomaru Defeats Weraroa. A keenly contested niatcli was witnessed at Tokomaru last Saturday, when Weraroa suffered defeat at the hands of the Tokomaru team. Weraroa played with, the sun at their backs for the first half. J. Young started the score with a penalty kick for off-side play— lTokoiv.aru 3, Weraroa 0. Weraroa played with 14 men after half-time, owing to their full-back spraining his ankle. Nevertheless, play continued to be very interesting, J. Young scored again from a penalty kick. —Tokomaru 6, Weraroa 0. A try was gained by Matthews in the corner, but failed to convert. The iinal score was— Tokomaru 'J, Weraroa C.
