FAT STOCK FOR EXPORT
MEAT BOARD’S ADVICE OF CURRENT PRICES
Per Press Association. WELLINGTON, Last Night. The New Zealand Meat Producers* Board advises that the following prices were being offered for fat stock for export at May 6:— Canterbury: Prime woolly lambs, SGlbs. and under, 9 7-Sd; 37 to 421b5., 8 7-Sd; 431bs. and over, 8 3-8 d; second quality lambs, 8 7-Bd. Southland: Prime woolly 3Glbs. and under, 9 5-8 d; 37 to 421b5., 8 5-8 d; 431bs. and over, 8 l-8d; second quality lambs, 3(slbs. and under, 8 5-8 d; over 3Glbs., 7 5-Bd. It may be noted that at the present time most lambs are being purchased by the head, consideration being given to the quality of lambs and tho value of skins.
