HOKOWHITU SCHOOL
COMMITTEE MEETS
The Hokowhitu School committee met last evening, when there were present Messrs G. J?attle (chairman), C. H. Amos, F. Robbie, C. D. Hepburn, W. C. Dudley, Weston J. Smith and T. J. Smith, E. D. Wycherley and G. Lane. The headmaster (Mr. L. J. Plank) reported satisfactory attendances during the month. The average had been 321 of a roll 350. Inspectors J. J. Adams and E. Crosbie had commented favourably upon the good working spirit amongst pupils and were satisfied that the work of the school was progressing. Dr. Elizabeth Gunn had also examined all pupils and had expressed pleasure with the health of the children. The school will close for the first term holidays from May 10 to May 27.
