The New Zealander, Johnny Leckie, outpointed Claudo Wilson. It was a good, hard-pegging fight all the time, with Leclcio never letting up for a minuto.
Leckie, however, stopped a heavy punch in the eighth which nearly ended tho contest.
Comedy at Sydney Stadium

At the Sydney Stadium, Bobby La Salle, described as the “Pacific Coast Tiger,” knocked out Karl Salm, of Germany, in a welterweight contest. The fight went only three rounds. There was plenty of comedy, but tho German was raw and ungainly, and never looked dangerous.
