SIR HARRY LAUDER
HIS SUPPORTING COMPANY.
Although Sir Harry Lauder is in himself a whole show, he is not egotistical enough to imagine that he could nightly draw crowded houses without some assistance by contrast and variety of fare, hence it is that he secs fit that at all times a lirst-class combination of artists accompany him wherever he tours and no exception to this rule is made of the company which will support Sir Harry to-morrow evening at the Opera House. In addition to Sir Harry presenting a new budget from his extensive repertoire the following artists will contribute to the programme, “Tiki” Carpenter, the surprise packet, who was engaged by E. J". Carroll during a highly successful London season; Aliss Beryl Wentworth cciiies with a big reputation as a singer of catchy chorus songs Rupert Hazel and Elsie Day, the harmonylarity duo, a celebrated comedian and a piquant maid, in a highly amusing comedy sketch; a thrill is provided by the Fredo Bros, comedy acrobatic violinists; this act is from tho Orpheum Circuit, U.S.A.; something entirely new is promised from Don Julian, a Continental cartoonist, and lightning sketch artist who struggles with tho English language, while reeling off a lort of smart patter as lie executes his artistic pictures. Rarely has a better orchestra been got together as will provide the orchestral accompaniments and overtures and the distinguished musician, Haydn Beck, will conduct. The box plan for the one performance is now open at the Alajcstic Buildings, Broadway, ’phone 7178, when patrons should not hesitate in making their reservations.
