SOUTHERN STUD SHEEP
EXPORT TO AUSTRALIA. The export trade to Australia of stud; sheep by Southland breeders is attaining considerable dimensions, says the Southland' Times. On every trip from Bluff to the other side the freighter. Karetu takes numbers of sheep for! Australian buyers. ; The Karetu left for Melbourne again' on April 13, with upwards of 300 sheep included in her cargo. The principal consignees through Messrs. J. G. Ward and Co., were: Mr J. A. Edivards, Oti-' kerama, who forwarded 63 stud Border Leicester ram hoggets; Mr R. J. Anderson, Kauana, forwarded 45 rams of j identical breed; Mr L. Heely MeNab' forwarded 20 and Mr J. Lindsay, Drum-, mond, forwarded 10 four-tooths and 10 two-tooths. I In addition to tho Southland sheep' there are also others already loaded! from Northern consignees. !
