WHIPPET CAR SUCCESSES
On Mangere Racing Track TWO FIRSTS AND A SECOND Messrs Wackrill and Stewart of Feilding, agents for the "Whippet cars, have received official confirmation of the success of the four cylinder model on the Mangere racing track, from the secretary of the Muriwai Racing club. In recent competitive trials at Auckland the sturdy Whippet not only satislied every endurance requirement but distinguished its make by securing two firsts and a second in races. The following telegram lias been received by Messrs Wackrill and Stewart:
“Protest upheld unanimously. Whippet the winner 10-lap race, also 6-lap open event and second in final handicap—Secretary, Muriwai Racing club.” Messrs Wackrill and Stewart will be pleased to demonstrate the distinguished Whippet car which is on view in their show rooms, situated in Kimbolton road, Feilding.
