OROUA HOCKEY SUB-ASSN.

• j The annual general meeting of tho Oroua Hockey Sub-Association was held at Cheltenham on Wednesday last. Mr. A, Hutton presided and Mr. F. T. Iwikau was appointed secretary pro tem. There were also present: Messrs. S. Meads (Rangiwahia), H. H. Davies and Caiman (Halcombe), R. Osborne and Waterson (Apiti), Tetomo (Tokorangi). The president submitted his report, which was unanimously adopted. The balance-sheet showed a credit of £3 17s 6d. Mr. and Mrs. R. E. Stuart’s resignations as hon. secretary and treasurer were accepted with regret. It was decided to divide the Oroua Hockey Sub-Association’s district into two sections, namely, the Eastern and Western, each section to be governed by a sub-committee. The winner of each section is to play the final for tho Southfield Cup. It was decided to start the competitions on Wednesday, May 1, 1929. A sot of Tules were submitted by Mr. Tetomo, when they were fully discussed and finally adopted with amendments and are to be submitted to tho Feilding Association for approval. The election of officers for the ensuing year resulted: —Patron, Hon. J. G. Cobbe; president, Mr. H. H. Davies, pro tem; vice-presidents, Messrs. S. Meads, T. 3£. Iwikau and A. Hutton; management committee, Messrs. Caiman, Tetomo, Osborn, president and vicc-pTesident; selectors, Eastern Section, Mr. S. Meads; Western Section, Mr. M. Tetomo; hon. secretary and treasurer, Mr. T. F.. Iwikau.
