Experiments have proved that it is possible to carry on clearly-heard conversations in mid-air with a telephone subscriber speaking over an ordinary telephone in London or Paris. . rrom his armchair in the 'plane, an air passenger will shortly be able to take a receiver and sound-proof mouthpiece and call the 'plane's wireless operator, who will get the Air Exchange at Croydon, through whom, when contact is established, the passenger will be able, without leaving his armchair, to talk while the machine is travelling at 120 miles an hour and 10,000 ft. up.
