Mrs. H. T. Dawson, of Pahiatua, has returned from a visit to Wellington. Mr. and Mrs. J. Byrne, axe Pahiatua visitors to Auckland. Mrs. Nelson is an Auckland visitor to Palmerston North. Mrs. Kane, of Wellington, is the guest of Mrs. Levins, Pahiatua. Miss Quigley, and Miss Herbert of Dannovirke, are visitors to Auckland. Miss Mavis Dexter, is a Palmerston North visitor to Auckland. Miss Kennedy, Napier, is staying with Mrs. H. Mules, Woodville. Mrs. Sanson, who has been visiting Masterton, has returned to Palmerston North. Miss A. Paterson, Christchurch, is the guest of Mrs. E. Scandrctt, Pahiatua. Miss B. Hamlin, has returned to Pahiatua, from a holiday spent in Napier. - _ ! Mr. and Mrs. G. Blaxall, Palmerston North, intend making their futuro home in the South Island. Mrs. G. H. Lusk and Miss Gwen Latimer, who have been visiting Auckland, have returned to Palmerston North. Mrs. T. Christensen has returned to Makerua after an enjoyable holiday spent in- New Plymouth, being the guest of Mrs. W. Moller. Mrs. W. E. G. Tylee, who has been on an extended visit to England and the Continent, has returned to Pahiatua. Miss J. M. Stewart, of the teaching staff of the Pahiatua District High school, has been transferred to Masterton. Mrs. P. Lawson of Wellington who has been on a visit to Mrs. J. C. Webster, Beattie street, Ecilding, returned to her home on Monday. Lady Jollicoe is a skating enthusiast and spends much of her time ■ on the rink, but her three daughters, although they occasionally accompany their mother, prefer ski-ing. A very enjoyable social and dance was given by Mr. and Mrs. P. Feeney on Monday night on the occasion, of their son Alphonsus’s 21st birthday. The Oddfellows’ hall was comfortably filled with well over a hufidred guests, representing FeilcLing, Palmerston North and Haicombe. Dancing was carried on until after midnight, the music, being supplied by Bramwell’s orchestra. The dances were interspersed with several comic items by Mr. Parmer, violin solos by Mr. F. Moroney and an attractive and well appreciated supper. Mr. Kelley performed the duties of M.C., and extras were supplied by Messrs A. Fidler, Beattie, Keyworth, N. D’Arth and A. Feeney.
