LONDON’S SIX-FOOT POLICE
In vie** of the lack of suitable men, the necessary height of candidates for the London Metropolitan Polico has been lowered from sft. 9in to sft. BJin. The requisite height for the city police is 6ft. When there was a difficulty in obtaining recruits after the war, the height of the city polico was lowered to sft. lOin. A year or two ago the minimum height was raised to its original standard of 6ft., and it is not likely to be lowered again.
