13 Wagons Wrecked EARLY MORNING SMASH AT PAREORA CREW UNINJURED. Per Press Association. TIMARU, Last Night. As the result of a wagon jumping the line, an express goods train from Dunedin to Christchurch came to grief at Pareora in the early hours of this morning, 13 wagons being strewn about the station yard in a mass of wreckage One wagon was smashed to matchwood. The guard, who was riding in the rear van, jumped clear as it overturned and escaped unhurt, with tho exception of minor abrasions. • All the members of the train crew also escaped uninjured. The accident caused no interruption of traffic, trains passing the wreck by loop lines.
