BRITAIN’S DRINK BILL DECREASING

' According to United Kingdom’s s-V----liance statistics, Britain’s drink bill in 1928 totalled £228,200,000, representing £0 9s lOd a head, or a decrease of. £10,600,000 compared with 1927. This was due to a 20 per cent, decline in wine consumption and 7J per cent, decline in the consumption of beer and spirits.
