BOWLING
DIXON CUP RETAINED BY OROUA. On Saturday afternoon, a challenge rink from the Foxton club visited the Oroua green for a match for the Dixon cup and Tucker gold badges, but failed to take the cup away. The rinks and scores wore:—Simpson, Miles, Brewer, Ingram s) 21 v. Ileyes, J. lioss, Nye, Thomson (s) 17. It was an oxciting game . On the sth head the holders were 11 ahead, but on the 11th head the score was 11 all. On the 20th head tho score was 17 to Foxton and 16 to Oroua. Then Ingram played great bowls whilst Thomson wrecked things with his drives.
